John Wall, Bradley Beal and the Washington Wizards battle Isaiah Thomas, Al Horford and the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of their second round series in the 2017 NBA Playoffs on Friday night.

"They beat our (butts)", Morris said following the Celtics' 123-101 drubbing in Game 5.

"I just thought we all came out with a better sense of objective today than we probably did in those games", Stevens said. Monday, I want to get back here - we have to get back here - so we have to take care of business at home and get back here so I can hear my name some more. That's when we're at our best: "when we're able to move the ball around and everyone's touching it and everyone's making plays for each other". The home team has won all nine games - with Boston 5-0 at home, where it has won eight straight over Washington.

The Eastern Conference Semifinals series between the No. 1 Boston Celtics and the No. 4 Washington Wizards has been an exciting one thus far.

After the score was tied at 12 midway through the first quarter, the Wizards went on a 22-0 run, put the game out of reach, and cruised to a 116-89 victory on Thursday night at Verizon Center. Wednesday marked only the third time Bradley has scored 20 or more points in a playoff game.

After the Wizards scored the first four points of the game, the Celtics scored 16 straight points capped off by a Bradley three with 7:07 left to play in the first quarter. He responded by going 10-13 from the field and 4-5 from three. "We didn't think it would be those type of words", Wall told reporters, via ESPN. It can't happen again if they make a return trip. Washington coach Scott Brooks on playing on the road: "You have to enjoy the road".

"A lot of people are going to be booing me tonight", said a beaming Oubre during Washington's pre-game shootaround, according to Candace Buckner of The Washington Post. They should've known Boston would be in "win-or-go-home" mode. "We didn't have the focus we had to have going into this game".

INJURY UPDATE: Celtics G Avery Bradley, who's been dealing with hip issues during the series, sure seemed OK while scoring 29 points in Game 5, including 25 in the first half on 10-of-13 shooting.

For Washington to win tonight, they'll have to go back to what they do best. Avery Bradley had a career night and Jae Crowder knocked down the open looks he's been missing throughout the playoffs. The last player other than Thomas to score 30 for Boston was Bradley on October 29.

Even though his team is averaging about 30 more points in Boston than in Washington during this series, Celtics coach Brad Stevens insisted that the venue isn't the most important factor in a game's outcome.

-The Wizards have yet to win a playoff game in Boston since 1982.

Washington Wizards guard John Wall (2) drives towards the rim as Boston Celtics center Al Horford (42) defends him. With the series tied at two games apiece, the victor of this game would head into Friday's Game 6 in a good position to close out the series. Four of the five games have surpassed the Game 6 over/under of 216.5, and Friday night's contest should be another high-scoring affair.
