Apparently, the newest version of the app groups together all photos received in a row from the same sender. They can capture or select the media that's already on their device's and swipe up to pick a filter.

Filters enable users to add effects to their photos, videos, and GIFs from within the WhatsApp camera.

To save you from such embarrassments, WhatsApp is going to launch a feature that will let you recall misdirected messages within a five-minute window. However, more filters expected in the future. Even the WhatsApp camera gets these same features so that you can improve the photo using these filters within WhatsApp itself. Last time around WhatsApp borrowed the status feature from Snapchat and the filter feature update is pretty much the same that is on the Instagram. This seems like it could be most useful in group chats, where sometimes it's hard to tell who was replying to what. The communication company, acquired by Facebook in 2014, added albums, filters and a reply shortcut feature to its services within its newest iOS update.

Making it quicker to reply, the update also sees the addition of a new Reply Shortcut feature.

Now iPhone users can also swipe on right side on the individual message in order to respond to the friend instead of creating separate and confusing chat conversations.

We do not know when Android will be getting an update to WhatsApp, although it is likely going to be within the next few weeks.

Finally, WhatsApp has added the "Album" feature, that quickly clubs more than four photos into an album.
