Some 60 women have come forward to say Cosby sexually violated them, all but destroying his nice-guy image, but the statute of limitations for prosecution had run out in almost every case.

As he became more flirtatious and suggestive over time, Constand said, his actions evolved, including once grabbing her thigh and later attempting to unbutton her trousers.

Agrusa also said records showed 72 calls between Cosby and Constand in the year between the incident and the call to police. "I wanted guidance and I wanted to protect myself because I felt that if I went to the police that Mr. Cosby would retaliate and try to hurt me". "And it was sometime between 4 and 5 [a.m.] and I needed to get home because I had to go to work".

Agrusa asked why Constand didn't "share" that detail until her fourth interview with police.

The prosecution called Constand to the stand on Tuesday. Buress did not know it at the time, but the joke would make him an immediate household name - and it simultaneously changed the lives of almost 50 women who say Cosby sexually assaulted them. "She viewed him like a father", she said.

Agrusa presented phone records showing Constand called Cosby that March 16 at 9:45 p.m., then later called friend Sheri Williams.

Agrusa suggested Cosby asked her to join the line because she would confirm that their sexual activity was consensual.

"No, he was sorry for what he did", Gianna Constand shot back. Though numerous incidents took place decades ago, Cosby was charged with aggravated indecent assault for an alleged 2004 incident involving Constand. Cosby has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Andrea Constand told jurors Cosby had earned her trust for more than a year before drugging and assaulting her in his Philadelphia mansion in 2004. In court on Tuesday, Constand said she had been alone with Cosby before the incident. And I felt Mr. Cosby's hand groping my breasts under my shirt. Cosby, a university trustee, followed the athletics department closely, she said. Temple is Cosby's alma mater, and he was a powerful trustee there at the time.

The Fat Albert creator has denied assaulting Constand - and the 60-plus other women who have made similar claims. "He was in a white shirt and trousers", Constand said, slightly annoyed. Constand claims that she replied, "I did not, I just want to know what you gave me", to which Cosby did not give her a clear answer.

Cosby is being tried on three counts of aggravated indecent assault stemming from an encounter with Constand - a former Temple University basketball manager who considered him a friend and mentor - at his nearby home in 2004. But she said he kept their next conversation short.

Constand testified she remembers having blurred vision, saying, "I could see two of him", and that her legs were "rubbery".

When she asked if they were herbal, he nodded, she told jurors.

Cosby's attorneys have alleged 72 calls were placed between the two, with Constand placing 53 of the calls.Constand's testimony will continue in the afternoon with additional cross-examination and re-direct questions from prosecutors.

Constand, wearing sneakers, a white blouse, khakis and a pale blue blazer, responded that she was "mistaken" or "confused" and overwhelmed when she provided some of the statements.
