The long-married Cosby, once known as America's Dad for his portrayal of kindly Dr. Cliff Huxtable on "The Cosby Show", called all the encounters consensual.

The jury got the case Monday afternoon.

Around 60 women came forward to publicly accuse Cosby in recent years of being a serial sexual predator alleging that he drugged and assaulted them over a span of 40 years in cities across the United States.

Cosby is charged with drugging and assaulting Constand at his Pennsylvania home in 2004. Constand told police she was semi-conscious as he touched her breast and genitals.

"As a woman, mother, Spelman College Graduate and champion of empowering girls thru my non-profit Kamp Kizzy, I in no way condone or support sexual assault", she said in her statement.

"I was mistaken", she said. Mr. Cosby refused to take the stand, leaving the case to his lawyer Brian McMonagle who said that, at the time, Bill Cosby was unfaithful to his wife but he had not in any way committed a crime because the #Sexual Activities between his client and #Andrea Constand were consensual.

The Rev. Andrew F. Kline, a vicar of a historic black church in Norristown who stopped by the courthouse steps Wednesday to check out the scene, said his congregation is "absolutely" talking about the case given Cosby's place in their lives.

A judge blocked Jackson from testifying at the trial, ruling it would be hearsay.

She testified last week that he gave her a substance that incapacitated her and then he sexually assaulted her.

"It's easy to be there for someone when things are good, when business is good, when money is good, when all of these things (are good)", she said. In those interviews, Cosby admitted to sexual contact with Constand and said they had previously had a romantic encounter.

Most of the jurors looked tired when the judge agreed to send them back to their hotel late Tuesday night.

The jury is deliberating three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault. They also requested further definition of the third count, which pertains to whether Cosby gave her a substance "without [her] knowledge" for the goal of "preventing resistance".

The panel has also been reviewing Cosby's deposition testimony.

But Pulliam made it clear her approach to the Cosby scandal doesn't mean she condones any kind of sexual assault.

Constand testified over two days last week for the prosecution. She believes he gave her something stronger than Benadryl on the night she says he molested her. Cosby has given a sealed deposition in the case.

Bill Cosby has arrived at the courthouse for the second day of jury deliberations in his sexual assault trial.

The 79-year-old former comedian has been accused of sexually assaulting more than 40 women over the years.
