Toronto Pride should be inclusive, pastor says at service before parade

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau and Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne were among the dignitaries who were marching in the procession. Last spring the city of Winnipeg hosted a Two-Spirit pow-wow, the first in Pride Winnipeg's 30 year history.

Last Saturday, those who marched in Pride were gay, straight, Trans, cisgender, people of color, refugees, immigrants, and people of all faiths, ages, professions, families and children.

Toronto officers were there because they had been banned from marching in uniform in their city's Pride parade at the request of the group Black Lives Matter past year.

That fact was apparent in Minneapolis, where Pride organizers faced protests against police presence after declining to ban uniformed officers from participating in the parade. The message was also apt for Toronto Pride, where this year's theme was inclusivity, with indigenous activists and other minorities playing a prominent part in the parade.

The parade was more celebratory than previous year, when the parade followed the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida.

"Back then, the parades were more community-based and political protests, but this is more representative of what the parade has become", Bottorff said.

Black Lives Matter won't be taking part in the parade either after failing to register by the May 20 deadline. One group, No Justice Peace, returned later in the day to briefly block the parade near Stonewall, resulting in a dozen arrests.

This year, London Police created a diversity ambassador team - officers who, while on duty, will make an effort to participate in various cultural events, LGBTQ events and religious events in the community, said Allott.

"There were some 40,000 marchers behind them who needed to have their message (heard) as well", NYC Pride spokesperson James Fallarino said. "This is the first time I love myself".

Surprisingly, brainwashed leftists did not seem to notice (or care) that Trudeau basically hijacked the gay pride parade with his pro-Muslim virtue-signaling.

This year's Ashley Rukes Pride Parade drew tens of thousands of people, including an unexpected group of protesters.

National Chief Perry Bellegarde of the Assembly of First Nations also took part in this year's event.
