A woman is dead and eight other people were wounded - including three kids - after a baby gender-reveal party in OH erupted in gunfire Saturday night, according to reports.

It was a typically "tranquil" summer Saturday in an OH neighborhood as people gathered at an afternoon gender-reveal party that stretched into the night in the Cincinnati area. According to NBC affiliate WLWT, at least nine people were shot.

When the gunfire ended, one woman was dead and eight other people were wounded, including three children, according to police.

Officers responded to a home in Colerain Township, located outside Cincinnati, around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, police spokesman Jim Love told FOX 19. She lost the baby.

Five victims were transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The three other adult victims are in fair condition at the hospital.

All of the victims were family and friends gathered for the party, police told WLWT.

Officials said three children are being treated at Cincinnati Children's Medical Center. "I looked outside, next thing I know they just ran in and just started shooting". There is no word on their condition. "Hopefully there we can get some more information and descriptions, all the information we need to be able to proceed to continue this investigation, hopefully get the people who did the shooting", Love told Johnson.
