England Under-20 World Cup victor joined the Reds earlier this summer after coming to the end of his Chelsea contract, with the move still to be determined by a transfer tribunal. He will wear the no.29 jersey for the Reds.

Liverpool Football Club have officially announced their newest signing, 19 year-old striker Dominic Solanke, formerly of Chelsea.

Solanke was finally confirmed as a Liverpool player on Tuesday after he joined from the Premier League winners, with his fee to be decided by a compensation tribunal.

Solanke has been a prolific goalscorer throughout Chelsea's youth ranks having been at the club from Under-8 level.

Solanke only played once for Chelsea's senior side, back in 2014-15, but he scored seven times in 26 matches on loan at Vitesse Arnhem two seasons back.

Solanke took part in his first Liverpool training session over the weekend and is on their pre-season tour.

"It feels awesome and everyone has made me feel welcome already", he told the club's official website.

"My favourite position would probably be the striker, No. 9", he told LFCTV.

"I just want to make an impact".

Solanke is expected to go straight into Liverpool's under-23s team, headed by Neil Critchley, who has been promoted from being under-18s boss last term. "Hopefully I can put on the shirt in the near future and make some history here".
