'Kaalakaandi' teaser out: Meet the craziest ever Saif Ali Khan here

Netflix has cast Saif Ali Khan in the lead role for its first Indian original, Sacred Games, based on Vikram Chandra's 2007 book of the same name. We say that because he is seen doing outlandish things, without even realising that he is actually doing it. When the series was announced, the author had said, "Over the last few years, I've watched with great excitement and pleasure as Netflix has transformed narrative television with its ground-breaking, genre-bending shows".

From pulling off insane dancing acts in front of a random passerby to wearing weird costumes like a vulture with yellow wings, Saif is all amusing and high in the character. Akshat Verma, the writer of the Delhi Belly film, promises that this movie was different and it shows the life of various peoples in a single track.

Saif, whose career got a major boost with the new-age drama, Dil Chahta Hai at the turn of the millennium, has once again proved that he has no qualms warming up to a new, contemporary digital medium, something that most A-listers in Bollywood are yet to fully embrace. The teaser has left movie buffs anticipation and now, people are eagerly waiting for the film. It's a cross section of Mumbai with underworld goons, doomed bankers and idealistic lovers all mixed together in this karmic tale about love, crime and living a lifetime in one night!

Akshay Oberoi, Amyra Dastur, Isha Talwar and Neil Bhoopalam are also part of Kaalakaandi. The film was written specifically with Saif Ali Khan in mind. Both the films are expected to release this year. It is slated to release on 8 September.
