"They didn't teach us this at the Academy", admits Joel Edgerton to Will Smith, who play cops in a unusual Los Angeles-based alternate universe in the first trailer for Netflix's police thriller "Bright".

"Everyone's just trying to get along and have a good life, "Will Smith's cop character says in a new trailer for Netflix's forthcoming film, Bright".

Bright actually was a reunion of sorts for Will Smith, as he was brought back to work with Suicide Squad filmmaker David Ayer.

The movie stars Will Smith, Joel Edgerton, Noomi Rapace, Edgar Ramirez, ike Barinholtz, Kenneth Choi, and Lucy Fry. If you doubt that Netflix could produce a movie that was on par with something coming out of the Hollywood studio system, Bright is going to prove you wrong.

And if "Bright" becomes a true blockbuster for Netflix, it presents a very real challenge the movie industry as a whole, from deal-making to distribution.

Netflix announce that David Ayer's BRIGHT from celebrated screenwriter Max Landis will Premiere on the platform on December 22 and unveil the Brand New Trailer and Stills for the eagerly awaited film!

Smith acknowledged there's a difference between the version of the film audiences see depending on the venue they watch the movie in. I was really able to tell my f-ing story.

David Ayer and Will Smith chose to make a stop at this year's Comic Con to premiere the official trailer from their film Bright.

However, don't think that humans are the strongest in the land, which Will Smith explained at the movie's panel at Comic-Con 2017. In fact, much is made of an Orc (Edgerton) becoming a police officer, who's called a "diversity hire" and is just doing his best to be liked.

"I'm playing a guy who really wants to be liked but looks like a monster".
