Pep Guardiola wants a defender and open to more signings

Guardiola also praised the performances of new signings Kyle Walker and Danilo, after they impressed in wing-back roles.

"They are Monaco and Arsenal players, so nothing to say", he said.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino admitted his team are a bit behind City in their preparations but revealed that the club is working on bringing in fresh blood. We wanted to keep [Nasri] last pre-season but he made a decision to go to Sevilla and I like to work with the guys who want to work with us.

"We tried to work about that because he has this quality to put the ball in the other box and it's not offside".
