The service initially will be rolled out to Skype customers on the latest version of Skype for iOS and Android mobile devices.

To send money through the app, you'll need to have the latest version, but the person receiving the money can have any version of Skype. To send payment, users will have to tap on "Send Money" after that they will have to end the amount and then press "confirm" to initiate the payment and finally hit send to complete the transaction. The new payment system is based on PayPal, one of the very best online money transfer services.

Skype has added the ability to send money to your friends on Android and iOS as part of a new partnership with PayPal, the company announced today.

Sending money to friends or family members is about to get a little easier with Skype and PayPal. Should you be on a Skype call or in a chat and need to send over some cash, you can now do that using your PayPal account without ever leaving Skype.

The Send Money feature is supported in 22 countries. If you're sending funds from the US, for example, to someone in Europe, you will have the option to send money in Euros. "If you're sending funds from the United States, for example, to someone in Europe, you will have the option to send money in Euros".

PayPal for Skype on Windows Phone has not been mentioned in the update today. Here's the full list: the USA, the UK, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain.
