Viewer ratings have been strong enough that the show, starring #Grant Gustin, has become a strong component of the network's "Arrow-verse" adaptation of the DC Comics universe. TVLine reports that at Television Critics Association, CW President Mark Pedowitz announced when the next 4-way crossover between Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow will be happening.

The crossover will launch on Monday, Nov. 27 with "Supergirl" followed by "Arrow", which will move to Monday at 9 p.m. just for the event. The crossover will wrap up the following night with "The Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow". "Next year maybe we'll go back to four nights". He added that they thought this "was the most concise way to do it". "Next year, we may go back to four nights". They're all big episodic productions, but this will be even bigger.

Speaking of romance, Pedowitz weighed in on the successes of the four shows' previous seasons, as well as tweaks he thinks will make the shows strong.

Pedowitz didn't comment on what this season's first crossover will deal with, although he did say it'll have a "purpose" like some of the others. The crossover in the "Invasion" arc did not start until the end of Supergirl and confused many who believed that the crossover would start on the first night. The crossover won't last nearly all week this time.

Having recently learned that Kara Zor-El is primed to play a more significant role in this year's crossover, it's good to hear that she'll be kicking things off this time around. "Greg said there's probably no way to get bigger than aliens, so the best way to make the [next] crossover especially epic is if you can't increase the bombast, increase the emotional stakes and the emotional payoffs".

Last year, The CW presented a SUPERGIRL/FLASH two-night episode featuring Darren Criss as well as original music from LA LA LAND composers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. "That said, I've now said this on many TCAs, and I woke up one day with Supergirl and I woke up one day with Black Lightning, so talk to me in May about what we have". Arrow: Season 6 will begin airing on The CW on October 12, 2017 at 9 pm.
