According to the call records, Trump insisted Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, stop publicly saying his country will not pay for Trump's proposed wall on the US-Mexican border.

"Putin was a pleasant call", Trump told Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

The Department of Justice has received almost as many criminal referrals regarding unauthorized disclosures of classified material in the first six months of the Trump administration than the previous three years combined, Sessions said.

Tommy Vietor, a National Security Council spokesman under President Barack Obama, called the leak "absurd".

Even if the perp is caught, and proves to be an Obama holdover no longer on the job, no foreign leader can ever again be confident that what he tells a U.S. president won't be blared across the Internet for all to see. How do you conduct diplomatic business which should be the top priority of the president?

And it reminds us how much more comfortable Trump is speaking to Russian President Vladimir Putin than to American allies. The worry seems to lie in the hypothetical idea that because the Post published a transcript of Trump's calls on this one occasion, it will lead to an avalanche of leaks where no call with a foreign leader-no matter how sensitive-is safe, thereby grinding diplomatic relations to a halt.

The renovations will last through August 20, and during that time all White House staff will relocate to Washington's Eisenhower Executive Office Building until the work is complete. And using children to distract from the most recent scandal or firing is low, even for Trump.

However, Walters defended Trump's working vacation and argued that the duration would be used to improve upon the air conditioning and heating system in the West Wing of the White House, whose staff temporarily are relocating to the executive building within its complex. Trump denied the report, responding on Twitter, "I love the White House, one of the most lovely buildings (homes) I have ever seen". I'm guessing that is partly where it came out. "What's the point? If you're not enjoying your work, you're in the wrong job".

Like many things Trump says, he didn't actually mean he wasn't going to take vacations.
