Here's how much Bille Lourd inherited from Carrie Fisher

The news came as Dennis King, who was appointed the trustee of Fisher's living trust asked the court to dismiss a previous request that Fisher's assets be included in her trust.

Lourd was on the promotional trail as a petition for probate was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Wednesday, confirming that the third-generation Hollywood star - who lost her mother and grandmother Debbie Reynolds on back-to-back days a year ago - was in line to inherit the Star Wars star's fortune.

It is possible that Billie's inheritance will be even larger as Carrie could have had additional funds in trusts that would not necessarily be included in the probate filing. Those intellectual property rights include proceeds from Fisher's books, specials, trademarks and copyrights.

The estate that Fisher shared with Reynolds is now om the market for $18m and the proceeds from the sale will likely be incorporated into Lourd's trust. It is believed that the 25-year-old actress could also acquire all proceeds from Carrie Fisher's memorabilia set that is scheduled to be auctioned in September.

Last December Carrie, 60, suffered a heart-attack while on a flight from London to LA and later died in hospital, while her mother Debbie Reynolds sadly passed away a day later after suffering a stroke at age 84. It has been heard that the actress has some possibility of inheriting more than the amount of property disclosed.

Earlier this month, Billie Lourd opened up about how she's coping with the loss of her mother and grandmother.

However, Billie feels there is "a lot of pressure" on her to continue Carrie's "incredible legacy".

She added: "Now is the first time in my life when I get to own my life and stand on my own".

Although Billie knows she was out-shone by Carrie, she "loves" being known as the daughter of Princess Leia.
