So perhaps it should come as no surprise that Yasiel Puig is focused on the big prize after he hit a two-run, walk-off double as the Dodgers (85-34) recorded a 5-4 comeback victory over the Chicago White Sox in front of a sellout home crowd Wednesday.

Darvish got a no-decision after pitching six innings and leaving with Chicago up 3-2.

"The muscles around my lower back were tight and I couldn't move my body at all", Darvish said.

Darvish said he first felt tightness in his back last week in his start at Arizona. Ace Clayton Kershaw is already on the disabled list with a bad back.

According to USA Today Sports Darvish came out to pitch the seventh inning with only 90 pitches under his belt when Dodgers manager Dave Roberts went to the mound with Darvish's Japanese interpreter and the team trainer. He said, 'We need you really bad in six weeks.

He left the game with the Dodgers trailing 3-2 after surrendering a solo home run to White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu in the sixth.

Yasmani Grandal #9 of the Los Angeles Dodgers tags out Adam Engel #41 of the Chicago White Sox after a dropped third strike in the fourth inning of the game at Dodger Stadium on August 15, 2017 in Los Angeles, California. He walked four and struck out four. They broke open a 1-1 game with five runs in the eighth - all with two outs. They had yet to settle in their seats when Garcia homered on Darvish's first pitch of the game. On Tuesday, Tim Anderson hit Alex Wood's first pitch for a home run.

It was the first time in franchise history the White Sox homered in consecutive games on the first pitch.

Ross Stripling (2-4) got the victory with one inning of relief. He made it three home runs in his first four at-bats against Rodon. He added another home run in the eighth on a first-pitch offering from reliever Tony Watson.

Rookie Nicky Delmonico sent Darvish deep in the top of the fourth inning for his second career home run and the White Sox recaptured the lead, 2-1.

Renteria recently received a World Series ring from the rival Cubs. He next is scheduled to throw a three-inning simulated game in five days or go on a rehab assignment. Renteria managed the Cubs in 2014, but the team went 73-89 and he was sacked.
