Those who pre-order can gain access to the closed beta for multiplayer.

As mentioned, the game will include Divisions, which is a whole new system replacing the standard Pick 10 Create-a-Class system that's been used for quite some time in Call of Duty.

You should receive yours no later than 10am PT, 1am ET, 6pm BST, 7pm CEST on Friday, August 25. That is, it is a process with which you can download the 16GB file from the trial period, but you will have to wait until you start the beta to start playing.

Call of Duty: WWII's multiplayer is going to be the big selling point of the game, despite how epic its campaign looks. At which point the beta will open to players on Xbox One and remain open on PlayStation 4.

Even if you're not a hardcore fan of the Call of Duty series, you can't help but admit that Call of Duty: WWII just has a knack for capturing attention. What excites you most about the shooter of Activision?

As games increasingly become more of a service product over an established, static platform, the Call of Duty franchise has been at the forefront in post-launch content.

In other news, yesterday Sledgehammer showed how Headquarters will work, the social space of Call of Duty: WWII. There is a trailer revealing Headquarters, although it doesn't really seem all that different than any other trailer for a Call of Duty game.
