Sanches skips Bayern match to consider offers

Bayern Munich forward and Manchester United target Renato Sanches has asked to be left out of the squad this week in order to resolve his future ahead of a move away, according to reports.

If Sunday's 4-0 win over Arsenal was an indication of things, Liverpool seem to be coping quite well without new signings as the likes of Sadio Mané and Roberto Firmino wreaked havoc at Anfield.

And it now looks like Swansea City are the unlikely club in contention to sign Sanches, as Clement's relationship with Carlo Ancelotti could come in handy on this occasion.

Liverpool are close to agreeing a loan deal for Renato Sanches and his agent Jorge Mendes, was present during the Monaco game as he is also involved in Kylian Mbappe's mega move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Italian tactician was quoted as saying: "If he stays, I'm satisfied". The Bavarians, who have now won their last 16 games against Werder in all competitions, are on six points, the same as Hamburg SV, who won 3-1 at Cologne on Friday.

That kind of money certainly wouldn't be out of reach for Liverpool as they were bidding well in excess of £43m for Keita but it remains to be seen whether Klopp would be willing to match Bayern's supposed asking price.

Should Liverpool sign Virgil van Dijk too, and there are murmurings of a move for Monaco's Thomas Lemar, then Klopp will have plenty of depth heading into the rest of the season.

'Probably next summer, I will have to try and get a player from a position I think can make us stronger'. Although, Klopp has made noises about not being the type to do that anyway.
