Things to Know About Xiaomi Mi Mix 2: September 11 Launch Tipped

Things are looking great for Xiaomi fans since the company is getting ready to launch its highly anticipated Mi Mix 2 flagship smartphone on September 11.

However, Jain too did not reveal which specific smartphone model will be launched in India next month.

According to GizmoChina, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has reportedly shared a picture of the Mi Mix 2 box package. We already know about the presence of the dual camera. It will certainly obviate one of the biggest complaints with Xiaomi smartphones - the lack of frequent Android version updates. So the upcoming Xiaomi dual camera smartphone won't be a Mi device or a Redmi device, it would be something else.

Zhao Ziming, a Beijing-based industry analyst, said September and October have always been golden months for Chinese smartphone releases, and their strategies to launch full-screen handsets to compete with Apple has become clear this year, with products generally being pitched at lower prices than the United States giant.

As it can be seen in the above, the two box packages of the Mi MIX 2 do not appear same.

Xiaomi has been dropping breadcrumbs around social media about the Mi Mix 2's design leading up to its official unveiling. Recent leaks have said the Mi Mix 2 will offer several variants, including one with 256GB of storage.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has been mentioned in plenty of rumors throughout the year, with many of them saying that the front will have even more screen this time. Also, instead of ceramic casing, the Mi MIX 2 is expected to feature a metallic body. However, now, adding on to the existing hype, the company's CEO Lei Jun has teased the phone yet again.

Rumours sprouting about the upcoming Android One smartphone from Xiaomi are getting stronger and stronger.

Xiaomi revealed on a Weibo post that the phone will be unveiled at an event on September 11.
