As lead singer of the group, Nadine sang the majority of the vocals on the group's biggest hits, but she claims the growing jealousy caused a rift among the band.

The former Girls Aloud singer tuned in every night last month to watch her former band mate compete on the reality TV show and, although the blonde beauty went on to win the series, Nadine has admitted she was completely against her entering the house.

She revealed to us: "Well, [Sarah] called me to tell me she was going into it, and I said "don't". It gives you the energy that you need!

She revealed that when Sarah asked why, Nadine said: "Stop this immediately". It's the truth. She's saying that we broke the band up.

She added: "It just happened that I always got more vocals than everybody else, so in terms of people wanting their voice heard, that wasn't happening".

Before she went into the famous abode, Nadine was the only member of the girl group to wish her luck and Cheryl Tweedy even unfollowed Sarah on social media. "She should remember why we took the hiatus after seven years so she could go and..."

32 year old Nadine also spoke about the disintegration of Girls Aloud, revealing she thinks the split happened because she was given the majority of the vocals as their career developed, which made the other four members "very bitter".

"It's so sad for me to have to admit this stuff now because for so long, there's the band, and you want everybody to think we're best friends".

The mum-of-one - who has just released her new solo single Go To Work - said: 'I really, really wanted that to be, but it just wasn't how it was.

Go To Work is available to stream and download now, and is just the start of what Nadine has been hard at work on over the past few years. "It brings a tear to my eye, everybody is so good and so wonderful that I just feel really really really fortunate".

"So yeah there was [a divide]".

"He thought they were trouble. We're all very, very different characters".

She recently explained: "I feel excited because it's one of those really odd things where it's so out there, like oh my god, you shoot a video, you do photo shoots, you do all these things, it's such an exciting job".
