It's no big deal Manchester United dropped points vs. Stoke City

Jose Mourinho claimed his confidence in his Manchester United side remains intact despite seeing Stoke City end their flawless start to the Premier League season with a 2-2 draw. It was perfectly understandable, though part of me would have liked to see more of the Mata-Henrikh Mkhitaryan-Paul Pogba creative axis.

Poor old Hughes. Every man and his dog has refused to shake his hand.

Speaking to reporters afterwards, Mourinho bemoaned Stoke's tactics as defensive - despite them becoming the first team to breach his backline this term - and claimed the match was "a game for [Marouane] Fellaini", given the willingness of United's opponents to take the aerial route.

In Romelu Lukaku, Mourinho has a forward who will fire the goals his side need to challenge for top spot and the strength in depth he has laced into a squad that is struggling to find room for the club's reigning Player of the Year Ander Herrera, the gifted Anthony Martial and the experienced Juan Mata is impressive.

"I prefer not to answer question about handshakes".

"One team wanted to win, another team wanted to draw. I think they are all much of a muchness really".

It was a tempestuous affair on the touchline, with Hughes shoving Mourinho away from his technical area during the second half, before the Portuguese left the dugout at full-time without offering a handshake. There was a time he came into my technical box and I told him to get out but that was it. Maybe it's because it could be viewed as a negative result for him. "I don't speak about stupid things", he told the BBC. "Coming to Stoke City when everybody expected them to beat us is a negative".

It's also reported that Hughes asked the referee, Neil Swarbrick, to send Mourinho to the stands following the incident.
