Evan Blass over at Venturebeat has obtained what seem to be press images of the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL. Pricing could start from $799 for this XL variant with 64GB storage option, and $899 is expected for the 128GB variant.

If these leaks are correct, the second-generation Pixel phones are not going to be cheap, and price-wise will be up there with flagships like the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

The Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL was supposed to come with a Snapdragon 836 processor but the leaks suggest that they will be running on the Snapdragon 835 processor.

The Pixel 2 still appears to keep its thick bezels at the top and bottom of the device whilst the Pixel XL 2 has an nearly edge-to-edge screen. There's also 4GB of RAM inside both devices, with a 12-megapixel camera on the back - with Google deciding to skip the dual-camera trend this year. With the new Pixel image reveal, we noticed that Google has also tweaked the Pixel launcher as well. The adoption of the 18:9 aspect ratio display is also one of the major highlights of the phone.

The Google Pixel 2 is expected to be an incremental upgrade over its predecessor in terms of design and overall form factor. Unlike previous year, both phones have front-firing stereo speakers and be waterproof, according to several leaks.

Lastly, the release dates for the two phones are split into two with Google Pixel 2 coming first on the 19 October 2017 whereas the bigger Google Pixel 2 XL will be unleashed later on the 15 November 2017. There are only two days left for the event, so it remains to be seen if we'll get more leaks during the following days. Apart from the Pixel 2 and the Pixel XL 2, many other products are expected to be announced including a possible Ultra Pixel, an iPhone X competitor.

The smaller Pixel 2, built by HTC, will sport large top and bottom bezels on its 5-inch screen with lower resolution compared to the larger XL 2.
