How to Watch Diamondbacks vs. Dodgers Game 1 Without Cable

The Los Angeles Dodgers got a good start on a fresh fall tale Friday, riding a Justin Turner-led four-run first inning to back Clayton Kershaw in his mixed-bag of an outing. He gave up three earned runs on seven hits with two strikeouts and no walks over four innings in a 5-3 win at the Rockies his last regular season start.

If the lights of the post-season were not bright enough, Walker took the Dodger Stadium mound with a streak of wildness.

"Yeah, he gave up four solo homers, but who cares?" asked Turner, batting.397 with 17 RBIs in his last 17 postseason games.

Given the heightened moment and well-documented emotion experienced by each player, Walker's task was challenging.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Cubs confirmed that Japanese reliever Koji Uehara, who is recovering from back pain, was not included in the 25-member roster against the Washington Nationals in the NL Division Series. The way starting pitching has been this postseason, the Dodgers need to get to Ray and score as much as possible.

The first home run came in the third inning while the second came in the sixth and the final two in the seventh, but what really mattered was the fact that there was no one on base.

"Forty-eight pitches (in) one inning is a lot for any pitcher to absorb", Lovullo said. "(Walker) was the choice, a clear-cut choice. "Obviously we know the history, but managing him in his start, I'm not thinking about the back".

"They hit a couple of mistakes and unfortunately [Walker] never got grounded", Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said. The combination of this initial foray and a strong Dodgers line-up created a near-perfect storm.

Baez, meanwhile, made more appearances than any other Dodgers reliever this season - often to the displeasure of Dodgers fans who focused on him as their least favorite pitcher.

Turner finished the game with five RBI, tying a Dodgers postseason record shared by Pedro Guerrero and Davey Lopes.

Luckily, he recovered in time to make a great swing on the double.

Kershaw allowed four homers. We feel good about the way we approached Kershaw.

Tonight's #Dbacks lineup for Game 2.

Ray pitched 2 1/3 innings of relief in the National League wild-card game Wednesday.

Watch the Dodgers take on the D-backs in Game 2 of the NLDS presented by T-Mobile Saturday at 9 p.m. ET./ 6 p.m. PT on TBS.

The series then moves to desert Monday night.
