The Michigan Wolverines announced starting quarterback Wilton Speight is out for a few weeks, so it'll be up to backup John O'Korn to lead Michigan to a home win over the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC (live stream it on WatchESPN).

But, Michigan also remembers the last time the Spartans came to Ann Arbor.

"Just kind of sure the game was over that point, but it wasn't", Wolverines defensive tackle senior Maurice Hurst recalled.

MI lined up to punt with 10 seconds left and the leading, needing to snap the ball, punt it and avoid giving up a touchdown.

LJ Scott will need a big bounce-back game against the Wolverines if the Spartans are going to have a chance.

Michigan State vs. Michigan news:O'Korn passed his first test with flying colors, coming from behind on the road against Purdue, defeating both a hostile crowd and a Purdue pass-rush that was fierce. The Michigan defense will look for similar results and attempt to control the game running the ball on offense. It is the first night game in the history of this long standing rivalry that MI leads 69-35-5 all time.

"I don't know if that changes who they are offensively or what they are going to call", Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said.

On Wednesday a student reported that they had seen a "noose" hanging outside of a dorm room in her residence hall at Michigan State University.

"There is absolutely racism on our campus that we have to address".
