But not until the latest trailer from Netflix have we been able to see all of that in one place.

What better day to release the Season 2 trailer for Netflix's Stranger Things than Friday the 13th? Mike (Finn Wolfhard) believes Eleven is the answer to understanding all the supernatural elements, but only Will has the power to destroy the monster.

As it appeared in the trailer, fans were taken aback by how big the monster appears in the Upside Down, however, look closely, and it appears elsewhere. It's no nightmare. It's real - or at least Hopper says it is.

The next season kicks off on Halloween night (all the boys dressed up as Ghostbusters, natch), with Will bearing witness to some sort of devilish shadow.

The Stranger Things Twitter account has also teased a video, which might explore the origins of Eleven more. At the end of season 1, Will Byers was found by his mom Joyce Byers from the Upside Down. "What is wrong with my boy?!" The trailer highlights that Will hasn't been himself ever since he came back from the "Upside down" and his mother, played by Winona Ryder, is just as anxious for him as she was in the last season.

From the creepy masks to the nail-covered baseball bat, we're ready to see all the action come to life on the season 2 premiere October 27.
