Right now, we're all just waiting for the official announcement to tell us that Prince Harry and his girlfriend of over a year, Meghan Markle, are ready to head down the aisle.

According to The Daily Mail, the duo arrived in a blacked-out auto just before 5pm last Thursday.

It was at the castle, where the Queen spends her summer breaks, where the first meeting between the pair took place.

Meghan needn't have anxious about the meeting, with Prince Charles already giving his royal seal approval, reportedly telling friends he was "very impressed" with the actress.

As fifth in line to the throne, Harry will have to ask the Queen for permission to marry Meghan.

Speculation around Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's potential engagement has been rife for the past few months, and now it seems that it might be a question of when, and not if. This is because there are several important dates in the calendar that can't clash with a royal wedding.

Meghan recently discussed her relationship with Prince Harry in depth to Vanity Fair, when she announced: "We're two people who are really happy and in love".

"William and Kate are expecting their third baby mid April, and Harry won't want to overshadow the birth of another prince or princess, and, of course, the Duchess will need some time to recover before she is at such a high-profile event".

Despite having been together just 18 months and only publicly addressing their relationship in September, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are sending fans wild with their "imminent" engagement.

In fact, if everything went well with the Queen - which, come on, it had to have - it wouldn't be surprising to see another royal engagement before the year is over. An interview full of benevolence in which the word marriage has certainly been pronounced; the queen, with the humour that we know him, who may have urged the young couple to jump quickly not because of his great age.
