After that, Apple had manufacturing problems related to its iPhone X's rear-facing camera, as well as the sensor that will be used to power its Face ID facial scanner.

It's unclear at this time what a cheaper iPhone X would cost.

To the analyst, his Apple Monitor experiencing "the strongest September quarter performance in its history" further exhibits Apple's level of intense preparation for the launch of its 10 anniversary model of the first iPhone.

If true, this means there will not be many iPhone X units in any individual market because it is launching in 57 countries and territories.

Pricing for the iPhone X starts at $999, but most people won't have to pay all of that at once. Still, the firm has lowered its shipping estimate from 30-35 million to 25-30 million.

The news comes following murmurs that sales of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have been modest but, if both Reuters and the Economic Daily News are correct, it appears Apple's 2014-based designs are simply past their sell by date.

That lack of demand for the iPhone 8 and widespread demand for the iPhone X might prove to be a problem for Apple.

But for investors, this may simply push the "super cycle" boom of iPhone sales one quarter later. Yet the iPhone X will erase all these disappointments in a matter of months.

Kuo believes shipments of iPhone X could show 50% quarter-over-quarter growth in the first quarter of 2018.

The iPhone X also features a new kind of OLED display and Apple claims it has two hours of extra battery life compared to the iPhone 7. Legacy Private Trust Co.'s holdings in Apple were worth $3,512,000 as of its most recent filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission.

So, when pre-orders go online next Friday, be ready to act quickly.

Kuo says that "any share corrections on revised-down [fourth-quarter] results should be regarded as a good entry point", especially for Apple's suppliers including Hon Hai, TSMC, Largan, Win Semi, XinTec, Tong Hsing Electronic, Lumentum, IQU, Viavi, LG Innotek, AMS, STMicroelectronics and Himax.

After weeks, nay, months of bleak reports regarding iPhone X production and gloomy predictions for initial supply, sometimes stretching throughout the holiday season and into the early stages of next year, the worst may finally be behind Apple.
