Reputation is expected to release in November, this year.

Swift's new album is emerging as a well-appreciated experiment, presenting quite a different flavour from her previous country songs and past detours.

After 'Look What You Made Me Do" and its Easter egg-packed music video broke major records, Swift followed up with another single "Ready For It'. And I got a boyfriend, he's older than us.

But in lyric and spirit, "Gorgeous" is, essentially, "Enchanted 2017". It's scary-good observational humor: "You should take it as a compliment, that I'm talking to everyone here but you", she sings. Later, she establishes their location as being at the intersection of "whiskey on ice, Sunset and Vine", where she's got "a boyfriend (who's) older than us... in the club doing I don't know what".

Later on, Swift belts out: "You make me so happy it turns back to sad/ There's nothing I hate more than what I can't have".

As a wise person once said, if you don't like your life, change it. Or, maybe this time around, she's stopped writing autobiographically.

Swift kicks off the song with a reference to the subject's foreign accent.

In addition, the Grammy victor mentions "ocean blue eyes" which (not so) coincidently is the same color as Alwyn's eyes.

Swift teased a clip of the new song on her Instagram page on Thursday and announced it would release at midnight, meaning you're heading into the weekend with a new addition to the playlist.
