What's Next? panel at BlizzCon, Blizzard revealed Moira's origins. She can send out bouncing "Biotic Orbs" with her choice of a localized healing or destructive effect. However, Blizzard did joke that she is an incredibly powerful character that the team is eager to see implemented into the game.

Blizzard has unveiled new content on the way to its popular hero-based first-person shooter (FPS) Overwatch, as a part of its annual BlizzCon conference. Whether you were hoping for a new animated short, a new map, or a new hero to join the cast, Blizzard came prepared by showing off one of each.

"Moira's biotic abilities enable her to contribute healing or damage in any crisis". Moira is a new support that seems to use light and darkness both to heal and do damage, a bit similar to Zenyatta. "Once she's charged Coalescence, Moira can save multiple allies from elimination at once or finish off weakened enemies". And finally, Lucio isn't the only support hero with serious moves: Moira's "Fade" power gives her some really nice mobility options for getting into position or out of trouble.

There is no word on when Moira will be added to the game. The latest map will pay homage to numerous great titles under Blizzard's belt by creating an entire theme park dedicated to all things Blizzard. The map is part assault and part payload and it will be going live early 2018 and will be on the PTR soon. I'm not sure I'm in love with Moira yet, but the new Blizzard World map looks like a lot of fun.

Are you excited to play as Moira in Overwatch?
