"It doesn't get old".

Coming on the heels of a Midnight Madness event Friday, this year's parade starts at 5 p.m. on Hansen Blvd. and winds up at Rotary Park, and is expected to have about 45 floats, with different school groups, businesses, non-profit organizations and sports clubs getting involved.

Jolly old Santa Claus came into town for Hamilton's 2014 parade.

"I'm going to catch bad guys", he said with a grin as he headed off to join the Winnipeg police's Santa Claus Parade float.

Beresford said upside down clowns were part of the first parade he saw.

"We're expecting probably a record (number of floats)".

On the rest of the Chippewa Falls holiday calendar, Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit BMO Harris Bank, 411 N. Bridge Street, on November 24 at 10 a.m. She said she's waited all year long to tell Santa that's what she wants for Christmas. "And what a ideal way for the star to arrive", he said. Route: Starts at Echo Street West, turns left on Ottawa Street North, and then left on King Street before ending on Cayuga Street North. It ends at the intersection of Front and Jarvis Streets at the St. Lawrence Market.

Food trucks and Porta Potties will be located north of Jasper Avenue at 105 Street in Beaver Hills Park and south of Jasper Avenue near 102 Street.
