While the White House insists President Donald Trump is not on vacation at Mar-a-Lago, Trump will hit the links on Friday for the second time this trip. He added that he will "get it all done, but what a mistake, in lives and dollars (6 trillion), to be there in the first place!"

Following his talk with Erdogan, the president tweeted he would round out the day by playing golf with Woods and Dustin Johnson then head back to his private resort Mar-a-Lago, often called the winter White House, for "talks on bringing even more jobs and companies back to the U.S.!" Websites like Trump Golf Count purport to count the cost of the golf outings and could be one of the many reasons Trump's approval rating has dipped below that of other presidents in the past.

Trump reportedly spent a portion of the day playing golf.

The 71-year-old lavished praise on Matsuyama, who branded it "an honor" to be given the opportunity to take to the course with the US President. In addition, he has already played with Trump, including last December.

For Johnson, who is world No. 1, it is a chance to end the season in a paradise-like setting.

Messages left by USA TODAY Sports on Friday morning to Woods' representation were not immediately returned, but on Instagram user posted video of Trump greeting Woods and Johnson at the course. The average time to play 18 holes of golf is approximately four hours and 11 seconds, according to Golfweek.

Trump's regular trips to his own golf courses in Florida, Virginia and New Jersey have become a lightning rod for criticism, particularly in light of his own attacks on Barack Obama for time spent on the fairways when he was president.

Mr Trump's revelation that he was playing with Woods and Johnson, who is now ranked as the highest in the world, marked something of a departure for the President and the White House.
