Taking to Twitter, Mr Eisen said: "The American people will not tolerate a President that insults those who risked their lives for all of us, nor a political party that enables it".

"Although, we have a representative in Congress who has been here a long time - longer than you".

"You're very, very special people".

President Trump's use of the name "Pocahontas" to refer to Massachusetts Sen. But, you Honor and Respect them with a...racist, derogatory comment about Pocahontas.

One voice that has been missing in the debate has been that of the code talkers honored in the ceremony. Scott Brown (R), the Boston Herald found that she was listed as a "minority law teacher" in law school directories from the Association of American Law Schools from 1986 to 1995.

At an event Monday at the White House paying tribute to Native American veterans who served as Navajo code talkers in the military, President Donald Trump again invoked the label "Pocahontas", which he has used as a nickname for Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).

He then went on to address the Navajos and said: "But you know what, I like you. I like you. Because you are special".

The Navajo Code Talkers are credited with creating a complex code utilizing their indigenous language to help the United States win World War II.

"Pocahontas is a real person, not something that's just made up", Begaye continued.

Naturally, the majority of the questions during Monday's White House Press briefing were about Trump's use of "Pocahantas", instead of tax reform or other pressing issues. "I think that Senator Warren was very offensive when she lied about something to advance her career".

At times, the white expert seemed exasperated at having to explain to Native Americans what was a racial slur and what was not.

Warren fired back at Trump's dig on MSNBC, saying, "It is deeply unfortunate that the president of the United States can not make it through a ceremony honoring these heroes without throwing out a racial slur".

Look, is it amusing that Warren once claimed Native American heritage?
