Micromax Bharat 5 With 5000mAh Battery Launched For Rs. 5555

The series, which was launched in May this year, comprise six devices.

Vodafone and Indian smartphone maker Micromax today entered into a partnership to offer cashback of up to Rs. 2200 to their customers. The Bharat 5 will be competing against the newly launched Redmi 5A which is priced at Rs 5,999 and now at Rs 4,999 for initial 5 million customers.

The Micromax Bharat 5 goes up against the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi 5A. It says that the chipset has a 1.3GHz 64-bit quad core CPU from which we can deduce that the Micromax Bharat 5 has a MediaTek MTK6737 chipset which is found in plenty of other budget offerings.

"Data affordability, connectivity and ease of using technology are the three barriers for the users to get a connected experience".

Indian OEM Micromax has now silently introduced one more smartphone in India.

On the other hand, Nokia 2 also comes with a similar 5-inch LTPS HD (1280×720 pixels) display but has a protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

It features a 5-megapixels rear camera and 5 megapixels front camera. The Micromax Bharat 5 includes an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. The smartphone also features a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

On the purchase of Micromax Bharat 5, customers will get 50GB free data.

Coming to the battery, the Bharat 5 comes with a massive 5000mAh battery while the Nokia 2 which boasts of a "two-day" owing to its large 4,100mAh pack under the hood. The new handset will be available across all retail stores in India. The smartphone disappoints even more with just 2-megapixel front camera.

While the Xiaomi will sell the Redmi 5A both online and offline, the Bharat 5 can be found only through offline markets. The device boots Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and there won't be any upgrade to Android Oreo in the near future.
