Paul Pogba has a message for Mourinho ahead of Arsenal, City games

The Gunners are now four points behind the Red Devils after back-to-back wins in the Premier League last week.

"We don't think about how many points ahead of them we are or how many points ahead the leaders are".

"I think he's a little hard done by at times, because he's up against some tremendous competition". But with about 20 minutes to go, United defender Mikael Silvestre lost his cool, shoving Dennis Bergkamp and then headbutting Freddie Ljungberg, getting himself crazily sent off. Arsenal pressed for the equalizer but, rather than getting it, saw United defender John O'Shea calmly chip Arsenal keeper Manuel Almunia to give United a 2-4 win in a game that had virtually everything.

The often outspoken Portuguese manager Mourinho's comments, perhaps surprisingly, suggested he sympathised more with the low-key personality of Borg, a five-time Wimbledon champion, than the demonstrative and controversial McEnroe, a victor of seven Grand Slam singles titles.

"You sacrifice, but you enjoy it, so you go through it and you just want to recover to play those games".

Mourinho added: "It doesn't matter what comes after, doesn't matter what happened before. Focus on this game".

Ashley Young has been one of United's stand out players in recent weeks and proved yet again that he is all but finished when he netted a brace in a 4-2 win over Watford at Vicarage road during midweek.

"I don't know if he can play", Mourinho said at United's news conference yesterday. "I love tennis, but I don't play tennis".

Mourinho, however, insists he will always aim to field his strongest side, regardless of the concerns about balancing his squad for the coming matches.

"He's travelling with the team, he's going to try and, hopefully, he can, but I cannot guarantee he is ready". Given the history between Wenger and Mourinho, will either really set their teams up to be open and expansive but vulnerable on the counter?

"When we have the ball, we are going to attack with 11 players".

"I can see Arsenal scoring goals against United and I find it harder to believe that United will score goals against them".

He was in impressive form on Tuesday night and will be hoping that his display can help to earn him a place in the starting line-up against Arsenal at The Emirates on Saturday.
