Launching on December 14 (that's a day before the USA release of The Last Jedi), the special edition trades the black aluminum backside for Stormtrooper white, black button accents, and a blood red alert slider button.

There are some potential spoilers for The Last Jedi in the copy below.

OnePlus has announced the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition phone in India.

The silver-grey edges and back panel are there to evoke the colours and style of the rather unique lightsaber main antagonist and pseudo emo-Sith Kylo Ren uses in both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.

Don't be, because it seems like the OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition is actually a real product. The only difference is in the style with the new OnePlus 5T styled after the Star Wars theme. The Limited Edition phones will go sale on,, and OnePlus experience zones in Bengaluru, and Noida from December 15 - the same day as film's release in India. On the other hand, the company argues that the OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition will have the same specs as its original version.

According to some reports, the new edition will be exclusive to India and it will be announced on December 16 in India at an event in Mumbai. It carries the logo of Star Wars on its back cover and is styled in black and white, that pays homage to the style of Stormtroopers.

The alert slider is now red but the volume rocker (and power button) is black.

If you don't want the OnePlus 5R Star Wars Limited Edition variant, the company is also offering the standard model of the phone in a midnight black finish. The smartphone features a 6-inch FHD+ Optic AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

OnePlus has strongly pushed its special edition devices in the past.

The China-based smartphone maker OnePlus launched OnePlus 5T in November past year.

So far the phone has only been announced for the India market but the exact release date isn't yet set.
