Danica Patrick, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. end relationship

Reports are circulating that NASCAR power couple Danica Patrick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. have ended their relationship after five years.

The soon-to-be retired NASCAR driver and Stenhouse, a fellow circuit star, have called it quits after five years together, Patrick's rep confirmed Monday, via ESPN.

Patrick and Stenhouse Jr. first announced they were dating in early 2013.

As for Stenhouse, he won two races last season amid his best Cup Series campaign.

Patrick announced November 17 she would run only the Daytona 500 and Indianapolis 500 in 2018, then retire from racing.

That led to speculation about the most high-profile couple in motorsports. She told us Ricky had not proposed but added, "I was ready yesterday".

It was an unconventional pairing.

She has made no secret of a desire to marry again, and revealed in a recent documentary directed by Hannah Storm she has frozen eggs in case she decides to have children one day.

That season Patrick and Stenhouse competed for Rookie of the Year honors, with Stenhouse winning the award. Patrick, who drove for Stewart-Haas Racing from 2013-17, has not announced which team (s) she will join to race at Daytona and Indianapolis next season.

She also has a book coming out on December 26th, titled 'Pretty Intense: The 90-Day Mind, Body and Food Plan that will Absolutely Change Your Life'.
