It probably told a more faithful adaptation than the Jim Carrey movie and Neil Patrick Harris just so turned out to be the ideal person to play Olaf. The clip also teases some of the terrible situations the Baudelaire orphans will find themselves in this season - including falling down an elevator shaft and fleeing from an angry mob. The final four books will be adapted for the third season, which now has no release date.

It feels like we're still a long way from seeing a live-action version of "A Series of Unfortunate Events" that will actually do something engaging and memorable, but you never know - this show's second season might just be hiding some secrets up its sleeves. Season three, which is already confirmed, will adapt the final set of books.

The new season will kick off on the streaming network starting March 30th.

One of the most pleasant surprises of 2017 was the first season of A Series of Unfortunate Events on Netflix. It's basically pretty standard stuff for any "Unfortunate Events" adaptation, and nothing to show that this season will be anything different to what we've had before. The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents' mysterious death.
