Antonio Conte has hit back at Jose Mourinho after the Manchester United manager branded some of his managerial counterparts as "clowns" for their overzealous actions on the sidelines.

Reports emerged on Thursday evening claiming there were fears inside Old Trafford that Mourinho could resign after two seasons.

Speaking on Friday ahead of Chelsea's FA Cup clash at Norwich City on Saturday, Conte accused Mourinho of having senile dementia when it comes to remembering how he used to act. "Maybe, sometimes, I think that someone forgets what's said in the past, which is his behavior", Conte said. "If I am going to sign a new one of course depends on the club but my commitment with the club is total and I want to stay", the Portuguese tactician told reporters.

Before coming to Chelsea, Conte was implicated in a 2011 fixing scandal while boss of Siena, but was ultimately cleared of any wrongdoing five years later. When they won the FA Cup and Community Shield, I think the referee decisions were a bit unusual, you understand?

Conte said: "I think if Arsene Wenger watched the game again, (he would) understand he was very lucky during the game with the referee's decisions". I could talk about the refereeing decisions against us for a month but I won't since you have to respect these decisions. Also, Wenger try to find this way like other coaches and it is not good.

"I think Wenger has to accept the decisions".

"There is a person that continues to look here", Conte said.

"If you look to the [Derby] players they are not Championship players, they are Premier League players". There is a theory that he feels jealousy towards Conte who, like him, has taken Chelsea to the Premier League title.
