39-year-old Michael Lester from Florida, USA may have made police's job much easier when he reported himself for drunk driving on New Year's Eve.

"Where are you right now?" she asks.

"I was just drunk driving", he adds.

Police say he admitted to driving the wrong way and he had been driving drunk all night and quote "Was trying to get pulled over".

The call lasted for several minutes and he even claimed he was driving on the wrong side of the road as vehicle horns could be heard.

As sirens can be heard in the background, Lester attempts to get off the phone with the dispatcher, but she refuses.

Luckily, the dispatcher was able to get deputies to Lester's location.

Lester told deputies who arrived on the scene he had consumed drugs and alcohol. Then he changed it to three or four (slightly more accurate). He also said he'd barely slept for several days. Innocent people are too often injured or killed from impaired drivers.

Drunk driving isn't a laughing matter, but there was a case recently in Polk County that amused deputies.

The post also mentioned Lester's criminal history, which includes DUI, aggravated battery, drug possession and a hit-and-run.

Lester was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, driving on the wrong side of the road, improper use of the centre lane, and not wearing a seat belt. "However, in this particular incident, nobody was hurt, so we couldn't help but "LOTO" (that means we Laughed Our Tasers Off)".
