Nicole Kidman Celebrated Her Golden Globes Win by Joining Instagram

#MeToo and conversations related to gender inequality, sexual harassment and assault dominated the 2018 Golden Globes, with stars receiving ample time to speak on the topic. Kidman also thanked her other "Big Little Lies" co-stars Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, and Laura Dern and said that this award is not just "hers", rather "theirs" to share as a unit.

After winning the award for best actress in a limited series, Kidman thanked her mother, Janelle Kidman, during her acceptance speech, noting that she was an activist.

Several categories earlier, Nicole Kidman won the Golden Globe for best actress in a limited series for her portrayal of Celeste Wright, a woman trapped in an abusive marriage.

"My mum was an advocate for the women's movement when I was growing up and because of her I'm standing here", Kidman told the A-List crowd.

The "Big Little Lies" actress shared her first snapshot on the photo platform: an image of herself, open-mouthed and clutching her prized new trophy.

"This character that I played [in Big Little Lies] represents something that is the centre of our conversation right now, abuse", Kidman continued.

She also credited the "power of women" for the success of the HBO series. "We see you. And we will tell your stories". My achievements are her achievements'.

"Nicole, I love you", he said.

"Keith Urban, when my cheek is against yours, everything melts away and that is love - it's true".

Kidman's emotional speech was a hit with viewers who were touched by her heartfelt words.
