THIS weekend's Golden Globes saw A-list actresses turning out in black in a silent protest against sexual harassment. When Emma asked, "What happened tonight?", Jennifer replied: "Well, you told me that you wanted me to be your date for the after parties so I got us tickets to some after parties and I booked a auto and I was halfway through glam when you told me that you didn't want to go".

The usually picture-perfect star looked straight ahead and shared her bold half-glam look. He texted me and said, 'Hey, Alex, ' making up a name.

The makeup artist explained that Emma wore purple as it symbolises the royal blood that flows through the veins of every Suffragette. "I thought, red lipstick was a color suffragettes wore, so I did more research and found that they also wore very specific, symbolic sashes, pins, petticoats and all these things in purple, emerald green and white when they were fighting for the right to vote". On one side, she had a dramatic smoky eye, long lashes and a dark brow and, on the other side, she was completely makeup-free.

Since scoring a surprise Oscar nomination in 2011 for her performance in "Winter's Bone", Louisville native Jennifer Lawrence has pretty much been a fixture at Hollywood awards ceremonies, this decade.

In fact, numerous beauty looks we saw on the red carpet contained a hidden feminist message that seemed to go largely unnoticed. "At the end of the day the woman needs to feel lovely, but this one was really different because it did feel more meaningful".

Well it definitely seemed to make Emma's night!

Commenters on Goodwin's Instagram post appreciated the stylist's subtle message. She made a statement with her hair and makeup too, which stood out considerably.
