Nintendo Switch is getting two more Wii U ports

Nintendo has announced that two Wii U games will find new life on Nintendo Switch.

With a tentative date of "spring", Donkey Kong will swing into the craziness of Mario + Rabbid: Kingdom Battle only on the Nintendo Switch.

With the Nintendo Switch outpacing the Wii U's sales, it's clear that many gamers skipped Nintendo's last generation console entirely.

In that respect, bringing them to Switch is a wise move, although we personally don't think we've got the willpower to play through Hyrule Warriors a third time.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, as its being called, will feature 29 playable characters on the Switch. New costumes themed around Breath of the Wild are also included.

There won't be almost as many bonuses with the port of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, though we will get to play as Funky Kong in a new game mode. Funky Kong can double jump, hover, perform infinite rolls and even perform infinite underwater corkscrews.

Regardless, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is a great game, and it should be a strong addition to the Switch's library, especially for those that skipped the Wii U.

Set to launch on May 4 exclusively for Nintendo's hybrid console, Tropical Freeze will feature the original game alongside some nifty new content.
