Cardi B Surpasses Beyonce On The Billboard 100

In the R&B chart's 60-year history, Cardi is the first woman and only the third artist to ever have five singles appear within the top 10 in one single week. Canadian rapper Drake now holds the title of having the most singles appear on the chart at the same time: eight Drake tracks charted at once in 2016.

Cardi B is off to a good start this year after she beat Beyoncé as the first woman with five simultaneous top 10 hits on the Billboard Top Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Drake now holds the crown as he had eight tracks charting at once. She landed on the number five spot in the top 10 of the January 20 list.

Fans of the Bronx rapper know that rapper's career skyrocketed after deciding to leave VH1's reality series, Love & Hip Hop: New York. The only other female artist to achieve such a feat was Lauryn Hill back in 1998 with her chart-topper, "Doo Wop (That Thing)". The rapper might break her next record at the box office because she just inked her first movie deal. According to TMZ, the female rapper has signed up to appear in a new movie which begins filming in March. According to a TMZ source, Cardi has turned down other gigs because she'll be filming during that month.

Her guest spot on the Bruno Mars song "Finesse" helped her nab the honor. At the crib, ' Cardi can be heard rapping a preview of the song.
