The courtroom disturbance came after Margraves, standing alongside his daughters and wife, asked if Judge Janice Cunningham, as part of sentencing, would "grant me five minutes in a locked room" with Nassar.

Larry Nassar, the former team doctor for USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University, is back in court Friday for his third sentencing hearing in as many months on charges of criminal sexual misconduct. He then asked the judge for personal time alone with the "demon".

Margraves then looked at Nassar, shook his head and called him a profanity while speaking at the courtroom podium.

"Well, I'm going to have to", Margraves responded, and he launched into a sprint toward Nassar.

Margraves then lunged at Nassar, who was sitting nearby. He asked for one minute, and she again declined.

"I'm not here to upstage my daughters, I'm here to help them heal", said Margraves. The dramatic incident happened during the final court hearing for Nassar where he is accused of abusing 30 victims at a gymnastics club, reported CBS News. He returned a few hours later to apologize to Judge Janice Cunningham, who said there was "no way" she would punish him under her contempt of court powers.

Gasps, cries and shouts filled the courtroom as Margraves was wrestled to the floor, knocking items off a desk on the way down before he was handcuffed, while Nassar was whisked to safety. Accusers say his abuse spanned more than two decades.

"I failed my own daughter", Lynn Erickson said tearfully in court on Friday, as her daughter Ashley, one of Nassar's victims, wiped away tears. As you can see in the first video, she made this very clear during the time when Margraves was being escorted out of the room as he yelled to her, "You haven't lived through it, lady!"

"I will tell you I believe in God almighty", Randall Margraves said.

In the latest fallout from the scandal, Valeri Liukin, the coordinator of the US women's gymnastics team, said on Friday that he was resigning.

Nassar must listen to scores of victims before he's sentenced next week for sexual assault. He had already been sentenced to 60 years in prison on child pornography charges.

Cunningham said Nassar didn't authorize the statements and has disavowed them.
