Russell Westbrook (ankle) questionable for Thunder on Thursday

The Thunder winning was even more curious, as the team brought a four-game losing streak into Oracle Arena that saw them lose to the likes of the Wizards (without John Wall), the Pelicans (without DeMarcus Cousins) and the Lakers (without Lonzo Ball).

Golden State committed 12 turnovers in the first half that led to 19-points for the Thunder and had 25 in the game.

The All-Star forward leads the National Basketball Association with 13 technical fouls this season, two more than teammate, Westbrook and center, who are tied with 11 each.

"Russ was instant offense", Paul George said after the game (ESPN).

Kevin Durant had a team-high 33 points for the Warriors, who lost a second straight game for the first time this season.

Facing Oklahoma City for the third time in Oakland after leaving as a free agent in the summer of 2016, Durant used 14-for-15 success at the free-throw line as the main source of his point total.

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it), seven of the Thunder's next nine games will come against teams with losing records.

This skid includes a blowout home loss to the Thunder without Carmelo Anthony for much of the game, and a 30 point thumping in Utah.

The Warriors came into this season as such heavy favorites to repeat one would have had to bet $220 to win just $100 off what seemed like one of the most obvious bets in almost two decades of National Basketball Association play. Meanwhile, OKC takes on the Lakers Thursday.

"As much as we want to complain in the moment or try to argue with the refs about what they should have seen and calls not going our way, as we go down the stretch of the season and in playoffs, if that's something that's going to get under our skin consistently and impact our performance, we're going to be in trouble". Coach Steve Kerr has described his team as "mentally fried", which does not sound good at all. "We're out of whack right now. It's been a struggle".

Thunder supporting cast - Oklahoma City really need to find someone other than their Big Three of Westbrook, Paul George, and Anthony to step up offensively.

Finally, the Warriors' normal defensive stoppers haven't played at the same level this season. The smart move would be to let him get some additional rest to make it more likely he'll be ready to go following the break.
