As the second half kicked-off, the Hurricane was activated as the Golden Boot victor took the game by storm, firing in a header to give his side the lead, and missing two clear-cut chances to double it in the following few minutes. We've had tough fixtures with United, Liverpool and Arsenal in a row and seven points from those games is fantastic.

Tottenham are now unbeaten in their last nine league matches and remain in a good position to qualify for the Champions League via a top-four finish. Always, you dream of playing in these type of games.

The veteran French coach went on to defend the behaviour of his players and to express his support for the referees' judgment. It was a great performance from the team and thankfully I was there to put one away. You know very well that football is about trust, confidence and belief. We were a team with a lot of quality that was waiting for a few years for a trophy.

"It's like Steven Gerrard at Liverpool - we haven't seen that for a long time".

At the very least he should tell them to take different boots as they will be on an artificial pitch.

His goal marked his 23rd of the Premier League season and will be up there with the most important that he has scored by securing bragging rights in North London.

Ahead of the North London derby, Wenger insisted on the importance of defeating the Spurs while praising rival striker Harry Kane as one of the best in Europe.

At the post-match press conferences, Pochettino took issue with why he preferred Davinson Sanchez to fit-again Toby Alderweireld.

Ozil was regularly seen pressing and harrying the impressive Mousa Dembele, keeping his shape in the process, while Mkhitaryan on the other wing looked disinterested, letting Kieran Trippier stroll past him at will, exposing Nacho Monreal in the process.

He said: "There is no doubt he is an unbelievable player".

And then Wenger blew that out of the water by claiming the game should have been over by half-time in Arsenal's favour. Spurs looked likely to increase their lead when ever they got over the half way line but never did.

He said Spurs chairman Daniel Levy "pays for me to make decisions, not to make the people happy".
