Trump Jr. will also visit Kolkata, where the construction of a project with 137 luxury units will begin soon. "He himself is here to understand the mindset of the buyers", Director M3M Pankaj Bansal said.

During his trip, Trump Jr will also meet Indian investors and business leaders in the cities of Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune and Gurgaon.

"Because I am not a new comer, I have seen changes during the last decade, certainly over last couple of years", he said on how India has changed for better with the government cracking down on corruption and benami deals in real estate.

Indian newspapers have been running full-page, glossy advertisements hyping his arrival and the latest Trump Tower project under the headline: "Trump is here - Are You Invited?" Modi will reportedly give a speech on "Preparing India for the Future" at the same event.

After making India its largest market with most number of Trump branded properties outside of North America, Trump Organization is in process to launch its maiden commercialreal estate project in the country later this year.

The Trump Organization has licensing agreements with all its Indian business partners, who build the properties and acquire the Trump name in exchange for a fee.

"News that the Trump Organisation would be offering buyers in the Trump Tower the chance to meet the president's son sparked criticism of potential conflict of interest, and the fact that Trump Jr. will be giving a foreign policy speech while on a private business trip complicates the matter further", The Washington Post quoted ethics expert as saying.

The invitation has sparked concerns of a possible conflict of interest. The marketing materials, however, don't mention the president - his name and image, as well as that of his daughter Ivanka, who joined his administration, were removed from brochures, websites and billboards from projects in India and elsewhere in the world.

The overlap in India between father and son creates a spectacle with few parallels in business and diplomacy.

That development is the Trump Towers Delhi, which will feature 254 apartments in two 47-story towers when it is complete in 2023, with prices ranging from $850,000 to $1.7 million per unit.

Panchshil Realty and the Lodha Group, the developers behind the Trump Towers in Pune and Mumbai respectively, did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Trump Jr.'s visit.
