A change that was reluctantly welcomed by some users while others started petitions to get the company to change the app back to the way it was prior to the update. With these tabs, users can more easily find which stories they want to see, such as those from specific friends or from accounts they're subscribed to.

Snapchat has recently released some new features to its app after a major redesign that company introduced earlier this month, Snapchat's is now presenting GIF stickers feature with the help of Giphy's collection, the feature that looks like a copied version of Facebook-owned Instagram. But Snapchat will bring these new feature in all android devices in coming weeks. Sourced from Giphy, the new feature allows users to add GIFs to their Snapchat stories.

The petition was signed by more than 1.2 million people, a milestone that perhaps prompted Snap leadership to draft a response. Snapchat had proudly announced this change late a year ago, and was hoping that the UI refresh will help it not only retain its users, but help it attract some new ones over.

"One of the complaints we got is, 'Wow, I used to feel this celebrity was my friend and now I don't feel like they're my friend anymore, '" Spiegel said on stage at the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference. "We completely understand the new Snapchat has felt uncomfortable for many", the company wrote.

By putting everything from your friends in one place, our goal was to make it easier to connect with the people you care about most. The same is true for the new Discover page, which will also "adapt to you the more that you use it". It essentially enables users to quickly sort friends with Stories, group chats, and Discover subscriptions. We are grateful for your enthusiasm and creativity.
