Oh, Wendy. Still, after her recent health scares and troubling shade toward Beyoncé, we KNEW something wasn't right.

There are numerous symptoms of Graves' disease-an autoimmune disorder that causes the thyroid gland to over-produce thyroid hormone, which is known as hyperthyroidism.

After taking three days off last week recuperating from flu-like symptoms, Williams revealed that her doctor has recommended she take a three-week vacation.

They said: "The show will be in repeats during this unplanned hiatus. A live show was produced today so that Wendy could speak directly to her fans and explain her condition".

Daytime talk show host Wendy Williams made an announcement about her health on Tuesday.

"My doctor has prescribed.are you ready?"

Williams went on to explain that the issue is hyperthyroidism and Graves' disease, which "squeezes the muscles behind your eyeballs". Almost three million people have Grave's Disease and when treated properly can be managed. "No, I'm not nervous". "Anxiety? Please. I'm over 30 years in this game".

The former radio personality said she noticed her mood swings and irritability but credited it to menopause and the stress of preparing her son for college.

"My thyroid has been totally cattywampus", Williams said. "I'll be back in two". "I'm not an heiress". She asked who will pay her bills from now on.

Skin problems: In rare cases, Graves' disease can cause you to develop lumpy reddish patches and thickening of the skin of the shin. She also advised the women in her audience to put their personal health first before they take care of their families.

"I must say, it's good to be back", she said.

Williams urged her audience, especially the women there, to visit their doctor routinely. "I'm a thoroughbred. I have not taken off since we started the show".

In October, Williams fainted on-air while introducing a segment. "This guy is booked until August and my appointment was yesterday, which is where I get the news and I kinda knew it", said Williams. "I overheated in my costume, and I did pass out. I'm a champ and I'm back".
