Black Panther breaks another box office record

In a new video, "Black Panther" director Ryan Coogler broke down the casino scene, detailing his intention with the costumes and the logistics of one of the film's most pivotal scenes.

"For years, the Black Panther has fought off invaders from his homeland, protecting Wakanda from everything from meddling governments to long-lost gods".

Marvel chief Kevin Feige has spoken warmly of Coogler, and has already said that he'd be interested in working with the director again for a Black Panther sequel. Marvel's latest release has gotten rave reviews so far, and totally smashed box office records with a $242 million debut weekend.

In case you did not know, "Black Panther" is doing big things in the box offices around the world.

Two of the many famous faces that congratulated the Black Panther cast was former First Lady Michelle Obama.

Black Panther's success has been an emotional journey for millions, perhaps none more than Ryan Coogler.

Marvel Studios' new movie "Black Panther" hit theaters last weekend.

He told the cast - which includes Michael B Jordan, Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong'o and Letita Wright - "What you have done is spectacular". The number also makes it the MCU's highest earner for a Tuesday ever, easily topping The Avengers' $17.6M haul back in 2012 (unadjusted for rising ticket prices).

"But I think the opportunity to have these kids see a movie like this - a movie about a super hero from Africa - to just celebrate all different levels of blackness I think is really unique", he said.

"Never in a million years did we imagine that you all would come out this strong", he continued.

Black Panther is now playing in theaters.

While they both want to empower people across the world, Nakia's reasons are altruistic while Killmonger's comes from a place of betrayal and pride - he only wants to sow the seeds of chaos without care of the repercussions. It has also received positive reviews for some fantastic performances and action scenes, along with a predominantly black cast, positive portrayal of African culture and progressive values.
