A new lineup of Nokia smartphone is expected to be introduced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona on February 26.

Nokia, which is now owned by HMD Global, has found enormous success with its range of well-built, lightly skinned Android phones, particularly in European and Asian markets, and the company is readying a bunch of updates and new devices to launch at MWC 2018. While some expect it to come later this year, new leaks suggest a sooner arrival of the device.

Samsung has always been on of the major highlights of the yearly mobile conference. Here's also hoping that Sony finds a way to bring a fingerprint sensor to this year's flagship, as it did for its mid-range products back at CES.

There are reports that India will get Nokia 1, Nokia 9 April onwards. Here's hoping we get some clarity on LG's upcoming flagship phone (code-named Julie) as well, but that probably won't happen for at least a few more months. In terms of price points, we may run the gamut: from the sub-$100 Nokia 1 to the premium, Snapdragon 845-toting Nokia 9, I'm excited to see what the company, which is firing on all cylinders, has in store for us. Going by the history, we can expect the phones to debut during the event. The device is also rumored to be powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space. Running Android 8.0 Oreo, all smartphones are said to include 12MP rear camera along with a 5MP front-facing camera. A leaked render shows the smartphone will have a notch too, but don't expect 3D facial recognition and other bells and whistles similar to Apple's TrueDepth tucked away in the notch. Accompanied by link to a "Zenfone Unveil" countdown for February 27, 7:30pm, it's safe to say that the Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 5 Lite will be showcased. It will feature a 6-inch screen along with a 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution.

While there hasn't been any official communication around a keynote by LG Electronics at MWC 2018, the company has hinted that the 2018 version of the LG V30 - dubbed LG V30s - will be launched at the Barcelona tech show.

HTC is expected to unveil the Desire 12 smartphone at MWC 2018, featuring a 5.5-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) display, quad-core MediaTek processor, 3GB RAM, microSD card support up to 2TB, 12-megapixel camera on the back, and 5-megapixel front camera. However, there were reports that the company is working on a camera setup powered by Snapdragon 845.

Xiaomi might just introduce an impressive smartphone during Mobile World Congress, called the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S.

Arguably the two most anticipated phones to be announced at MWC 2018, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ are all set to be unveiled at the Samsung's Unpacked event on February 25. Times changed, so did the technology and Nokia was replaced by Samsung and others.
